Summary: The Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator plays an important role in helping HumanKind tell its story. This position creates compelling visual content and manages social media platforms to increase awareness of HumanKind’s mission and the impact of our programs.
Working closely with the Communications team and program staff, this role designs digital and print materials, maintains brand consistency, and develops engaging social media content that connects with donors, partners, and the community. Through thoughtful storytelling and creative design, this position helps highlight the work HumanKind does every day to strengthen children, families, and communities.

What You Bring To The Team:
- Experience creating engaging graphic design for both digital and print platforms.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Ability to develop engaging written and visual content that communicates impact and tells meaningful stories.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop); Canva or similar tools are also helpful.
- Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite or similar platforms.
- Strong visual design skills with the ability to maintain brand consistency across all materials.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting communications initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff across departments while also working independently.
- Basic photography or videography skills for capturing content is a plus.
Requirements for Consideration:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in graphic design, social media management, or digital marketing.
- Portfolio demonstrating graphic design and/or social media work.
- Experience working in nonprofit communications, marketing, or fundraising environments is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Complete, pass, and maintain all required background checks and drug screening.
