Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Unit in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a respected financial institution, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting assigned security-related duties at the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or vendor entry as directed, and document arrivals, departures, and other notable activity according to site protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
