Job Description:

Job Summary:

Responsible for the upkeep and repair of the equipment,聽building,聽and grounds.聽Responsibilities聽include聽electrical, HVAC, conveyor,聽powered industrial equipment, and life聽safety聽equipment.聽Coordinates with local contractors and vendors.聽

Major Areas of Responsibility聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Oversees all work聽and聽demonstrates聽SME (Subject Matter Expert) levels of knowledge on all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in the building

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Manage聽site projects聽as needed

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Aligns priorities and workload scheduling with operational leaders to support production goals

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinates with local contractors聽/聽vendors for equipment services as聽required聽and ensures contract compliance

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Coordinates daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Obtains services for repairs and maintenance of the facility鈥檚 equipment

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensures聽timely聽and聽accurate聽completion of reports and recordkeeping requirements

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure all vendor work is completed,聽at budget,聽and verified prior to approval or sign-off聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understand and聽drives聽budget聽requirements.

聽Key Responsibilities

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conduct routine building walks across all assigned facilities to proactively聽identify聽repair needs, deferred maintenance, and safety concerns.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assess interior and exterior building conditions, dock equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, racking, life safety systems, and exterior conditions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prioritize repair work based on operational impact and safety risk.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop repair plans and escalate significant structural or capital concerns to the Facilities Manager.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain a rolling log of facility deficiencies and corrective action plans.

3PL Partnership & Safety Collaboration

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Serve as the聽primary聽facilities liaison to the 3PL leadership team

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Partner with TJX and 3PL operations to聽maintain聽safe working conditions and ensure building and regulatory compliance

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Identify, address, and resolve safety-related聽building issues聽(dock plates, lighting, trip hazards, guardrails, fire lanes, etc.)

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in聽routine聽safety walks and collaborate聽with stakeholders to implement聽corrective actions

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support OSHA compliance, fire/life safety standards,聽and applicable local codes

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promote a culture of shared ownership聽and accountability聽for building聽safety,聽upkeep,聽and聽overall聽appearance

聽聽聽聽聽聽 High School Degree聽or equivalent聽plus 3 - 5 years of conveyor systems and powered equipment experience.

Minimum job skills聽required聽to perform this job

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong knowledge of building codes, trade聽standards聽and聽general practices聽within the maintenance field.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong knowledge of electricity, mechanical, construction,聽plumbing聽and HVAC.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong聽communication, organizational, and negotiation聽skills.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience overseeing聽operations across multiple buildings preferred.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong working knowledge of building systems and warehouse infrastructure.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated聽experience聽partnering with 3PL providers and operational leadership teams preferred.聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Working knowledge of聽OSHA聽聽regulations聽and fire/life safety compliance standards.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), including inventory management and report generation.

Minimum experience聽required聽to perform this job.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proven ability to supervise and influence others on the team.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience聽of聽multi-contractor management.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 4-6 years in the maintenance field with experience in supervising mechanics preferred.

聽聽聽聽聽聽 Two聽years of聽supervisory experience.
