Lifesteps in Butler, PA is hiring a full - time Accountant to assist the Fiscal and Accounting Department with preparing financial records and reports.

The Accountant is responsible for the preparation and proofing of financial records and documents. Ā The Accountant performs efficient and accurate data entry into the Micro Information Processing (M.I.P.) Accounting System. Ā  Ā  T

JOB DUTIES Ā MAY INCLUDE:

  • Manage accounting transactions and assist with bookkeeping
  • Prepare budget forecasts
  • Assist with creation of financial statementsĀ 
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
  • Assist with reconciling accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure timely bank payments
  • Assist with computing taxes and prepare tax returns
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statement


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or related field with 4 years of related experience
  • OR Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management or related field with 1 year of related experience
  • Excellent thought processing, and organizational skills with attention to detail.Ā 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Ā Ā

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting software experience such as Abila M.I.P.
