Astral Industries is a premier manufacturer of high-quality steel burial caskets. The division produces a wide range of products including metal, solid wood, engineered wood, veneer wood, and cremation caskets. Astral’s unique manufacturing process allows the company to purchase raw steel coils and produce finished powder-coated caskets within a single facility. Manufacturing capabilities include electro-mechanical assembly, fabrication, sheet metal forming, stamping, structural welding, and automated powder coating. Position Overview:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the voice of the company to our customers. This role focuses on delivering a responsive, caring, and reliable experience for funeral home partners and other customers who depend on us during important moments. The CSR ensures every interaction reflects professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to making it easy for customers to do business with us.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, delivering prompt, friendly, and solutions-focused support.
- Process customer orders accurately and ensure customers receive clear confirmations and updates.
- Provide product information, pricing, and availability so customers can make informed decisions.
- Resolve customer questions or concerns quickly while maintaining a positive and professional experience.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as production, shipping, and sales to ensure customer needs are met on time.
- Keep customers informed of order status, delivery details, or any changes that may impact them.
- Maintain accurate customer records to ensure consistent and reliable service.
- Look for opportunities to improve the customer experience and share feedback with the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused when addressing customer needs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with customer service systems and standard office applications.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience serving customers in funeral services, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Experience with order entry systems or ERP platforms.
