Job Summary:
The Customer Service Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting customer administration and sales processes. This role provides exposure to order management, ERP systems, and customer communication while assisting the Customer Service team with day-to-day activities. The internship is designed to help students apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting and develop skills for future careers in business or customer service.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with reviewing and entering customer purchase orders into ERP system
  • Support preparation of quotes and order acknowledgments under supervision
  • Help maintain accurate customer data and files
  • Provide status updates to internal teams and assist with customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with team members to learn customer service workflows
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a BA or BS degree in Business, Communications, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions as assigned
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment
  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • Must be flexible to work overtime as needed

Standing:                              10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Sitting:                                  90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Lifting (in pounds):                  up to 10 pounds

Pushing (in pounds):                up to 10 pounds

Mental/Visual:                       use of computer and basic office equipment Workspace (line, cube, etc):     cubicle/desk

Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 USD Hourly.

Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
