Detox Unit Assistant (DUA) – Full-Time Night Shift

Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (Full-Time)

Evergreen Detox is seeking a dependable, motivated Detox Unit Assistant (DUA) to join our overnight team in our 16-bed medical detox facility. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a team, and understands the importance of both patient care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout the shift.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning electronic medical record (EMR) software.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the nursing team.
  • A professional, dependable, and positive attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly patient care environment through routine janitorial and housekeeping duties.
  • Complete patient admissions by accurately entering information into the electronic medical record.
  • Obtain required patient signatures and documentation.
  • Prepare and send required insurance notifications and other electronic communications.
  • Complete assigned documentation accurately and on time.
  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical patient care duties as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a therapeutic, welcoming environment for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A compassionate understanding of substance use disorders
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License, acceptable driving record and be able to operate a company vehicle without restriction.
  • Washington State Department of Health Certified Nursing Assistant a plus
  • Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
