This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in various areas of Human employee records, and general office support.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Support the HR Generalist with processes Help maintain accurate and organized employee records and files Provide front-office support, and greeting visitors Assist with preparing HR documents, spreadsheets, and presentations Help promote company policies and positive workplace culture Perform data entry and assist with HRIS system tasks Support various HR projects and administrative duties as assigned Document activities and maintain records in a timely manner Act as a reliable team player with strong communication skills   PHYSICAL DEMANDS   Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods while working at a desk Frequent use of hands for typing, filing, and computer work Occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds (office supplies, files, etc.) Must be able to work in a typical office environment   QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required Strong interest in Human Resources and eagerness to learn Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude, strong customer service orientation, and good interpersonal skills Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Previous office or customer service experience is a plus, but not required     OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES     Qualifications OUR COMPANY Freres Engineered Wood, formerly known as Freres Lumber Co., Inc. was established in 1922 in Lyons, Oregon as a family-owned and operated wood products manufacturing business.
