They will ensure invoices match purchase orders and shipping documents. Communicate with vendors on any discrepancies.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.  The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.    Investigates how to code invoices and enter them into the accounting system. Ensures invoices match purchase orders and shipping documents. Posts approved invoices to the account payable journal.   Prints out checks and manages discounts from vendors. Maintains vendor file for additions or corrections to vendor information. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.  QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.   K Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:  High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree in business or equivalent preferred. 2 years of accounts payable experience preferred. S Skills: Language: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.   Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.   Computer: Ability to perform intermediate PC functions including spreadsheet formulas and functions, queries, tables, and special reports.   A Abilities: Able to follow written and verbal directions and do so with a positive attitude. Must be able to work professionally with customers and vendors. Recognize the importance and adherence to all safety policies in order to promote a safe working environment, for everyone at the organization. Ability to learn on the job and adapt to challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient organization and time-management skills. Ability to ask for help. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well in a team environment.
