We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team to and assist us in taking the Company to the next level. The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for assisting in maintaining and reconciling balance sheets and ledger accounts, preparing financial analyses and reports, collaborating with various internal departments.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   Assist Accounting Manager in month-end closing process Fixed Asset Reconciliation & Reporting Contract Management and change order review Communication with Team on Contract Status & Updates including Collections. File lien/bond notices; maintain a control log and monitor deadlines. Perform monthly GL account reconciliations Provide assistance related to company ERP system to production managers, supervisors and sales staff as needed Work closely with Accounting Manager to identify and implement process improvements Assist in training & helping accounting staff in a manner that promotes a strong, positive team environment Backup other accounting positions to help as needed specifically payroll OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities are not limited to the above-mentioned and may include assisting other departments within reasonable and related tasks.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS · Sitting for an extended period, occasional lifting. · Must be able to work in an office environment, while also being able to navigate each plant and/or department facilities and may be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold and hot temperatures and vapors · Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, · May require a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, some for longer Periods     SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS   Bachelor’s degree in accounting 5+ years accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred Experience with ERP system; Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred Attention to Detail Team oriented Ability to grasp concepts quickly Experience with Microsoft Office 365 including strong Excel skills Strong problem-solving skills Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone and via email This position requires in-person attendance; remote work is not an option.         BENEFITS We offer a highly competitive wage, PTO, health, dental and life insurance, Section 125, 401k profit sharing, Holiday Pay and discretionary profit-sharing quarterly bonuses.   We also offer employee discounts and for vendor discounts such as Columbia Sportswear, Carharrt, etc. Qualifications OUR COMPANY Freres Engineered Wood, formerly known as Freres Lumber Co., Inc. was established in 1922 in Lyons, Oregon as a family-owned and operated wood products manufacturing business.
