We are looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for residents with breathing disorders, assuming primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities. This entails initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures, meticulously maintaining patient records, and selecting, assembling, checking, and operating the necessary equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct tests, such as End tidal CO2 readings, pulse oximetry, peak flow, incentive spirometry, heart rate, breath sounds evaluation, arterial blood gas analysis, obtain arterial blood gas, ventilator weaning (per doctor order), mechanical ventilator titration (per doctor order), and all other functions that fall under the NBRC/AARC and COARC guidelines and etc. Establishes the patient’s eligibility for care Performs equipment setups and ventilator/equipment checks on a regular basis Communicates with the families of residents Interacts with a variety of facility staff from different departments Assesses residents upon admission or discharge to and from the hospital or medical facility Reviews residents’ medical records Explains care options to residents and their families Coordinates with facility staff to ensure that each patient has a smooth transition through the discharge process and back to the home environment Verifies health insurance coverage for residents Coordinates communication between residents and their physicians, case managers and other medical staff Works with the facility’s marketing and sales team to bring awareness of the company’s strengths and services into the community at large Benefits Include: Medical Dental Vision Basic Company Paid Life insurance Long Term Disability Voluntary Life Insurance for the Employee, Employee Spouse and Employee Children Short Term Disability, Cancer, Critical Illness, Accidental and Universal Life Daily Pay Tuition Reimbursement Paid Time Off QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Minimum of 2 years in acute critical care or ventilator-based rehab settings Experience treating COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, and neuromuscular patient population Exceptional verbal and written communication Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Knowledge of emergency medical techniques and respiratory care equipment Proficiency in computer and database management Effective organizational and time management abilities Education and Experience: Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentials RRT (preferred) Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials or Adult Critical Care Specialist credentials (preferred) NPS credentials (preferred) Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred) Practical experience in a clinical setting Experience as a practicing respiratory therapist Priority Management Group, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, sex, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable Federal, State or Local laws.
