This role acts as a critical bridge between residents and City Hall—ensuring that constituent concerns are not only heard, but effectively addressed and resolved. Beyond constituent services, this position functions as a policy and research advisor, providing data-driven insights, briefing materials, and strategic support to advance the Mayor’s priorities. This is an ideal role for a mission-driven professional who combines strong analytical ability with a passion for public service, community engagement, and delivering tangible results in a fast-paced municipal environment. The City of Mableton is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Seasonal Workers. This temporary position supports various municipal departments during peak seasons and provides essential services to our community. Duties may include outdoor maintenance, administrative support, event assistance, or other seasonal tasks. Serve as the primary intake and triage point for constituent inquiries, concerns, and service requests. Respond to residents, businesses, and stakeholders with professionalism, empathy, and urgency. Track, categorize, and manage constituent cases using Google Workspace and approved systems. Coordinate with city departments and external partners to ensure timely and effective issue resolution. Monitor cases through completion and proactively follow up with constituents. Identify recurring issues and systemic challenges, elevating trends to the Chief of Staff and Mayor. Draft clear, accurate, and professional correspondence for constituent responses. Go beyond intake to analyze root causes of constituent concerns. Work across departments (e.g., Public Works, Code Enforcement, Community Development) to develop solutions. Ensure accountability and responsiveness across city operations. Build trust with the community by delivering outcomes—not just updates. Conduct research on local, state, and national best practices relevant to city priorities. Prepare briefing memos, policy summaries, and background materials for leadership. Monitor legislative, regulatory, and funding developments impacting the City. Support implementation of mayoral priorities outlined in the State of the City and strategic initiatives. Help ensure the Mayor is informed, prepared, and positioned for decision-making. Assist the Chief of Staff in advancing key initiatives, including: Housing and workforce housing Public safety and smart city innovation Economic development Sustainability and community engagement Support planning and execution of major initiatives and events (e.g., Town Halls, Developer Day, special projects). Track milestones, deliverables, and deadlines to ensure initiatives stay on schedule. Maintain dashboards and tracking systems for constituent services and engagement. Analyze response times, resolution rates, and issue trends. Produce weekly and monthly reports summarizing insights and recommendations. Use data to improve city responsiveness, service delivery, and communication strategies. Serve as a connector across: The Mayor’s Office City departments External partners (county, state, nonprofits, community organizations) Participate in daily “Potholes, Pitches, and Pivots” stand-up meetings. Work closely with the PR Coordinator to align constituent insights with messaging and outreach. Coordinate with administrative staff on scheduling impacts, contact management, and ceremonial matters. Work Environment and Hours Expectations Standard office hours with occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and events High-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership Must maintain professionalism and represent the City of Mableton with integrity at all times QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, public policy, urban planning, communications, or a related field 1 years of relevant experience (government, nonprofit, policy, or constituent services) Preferred Qualifications Two (2) year's experience in a mayor’s office, legislative office, or government agency Familiarity with housing policy, community development, or public safety Experience with Custom Relationship Management (CRM) systems or case management tools (Google Workspace strongly preferred) Multilingual abilities reflective of Mableton’s diverse community Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment Minimum Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver’s license
