The Facility Manager leads the daily operations of facility functions including repair, production, installation services and deployment for Trafera customers. Working closely with Operations leadership, this role manages employee workflows, monitors quality standards, and ensures operational consistency.  This is a people leader who is accountable for leading and managing team performance in support of business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role. 

  • Manage product and services delivery ensuring it is at or exceeding standards (production, repairs, warehouse and installation)
  • Design and implement processes to ensure that critical tasks, key workflows, and business drivers are executed efficiently, effectively, safely, and contribute to overall operational performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows, reduce operational friction, and improve order fulfillment and customer experience to support Trafera customer experience expectations
  • Analyze performance metrics such as quality, throughput, service levels and develop action plans to address gaps and capitalize on opportunities
  • Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) and maintain compliance with vendor warranty standards and return merchandise authorization (RMA) processes partnering with other teams as needed
  • Manage expenses, purchase materials, and maintain inventory accuracy through proper processes
  • Responsible for ensuring OSHA health and safety standards are followed, serve as emergency point of contact, and as a main point of contact for facility needs/questions
  • Manage services with third party vendors for building and equipment maintenance and safety such as, custodial, snow removal, company vehicles, forklift and electric pallet jack
  • Lead, manage, and develop direct reports:
    1. Build trusted and effective relationships to support an organizational culture that lives the values
    2. Maintain active presence within the team, providing daily support and communication to build and foster strong teams and reporting structures
    3. Create and implement standard policies and processes throughout the team 
    4. Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and empower the team in these efforts
    5. Establish clear expectations and set goals in alignment with strategic plans and ensure accountability for meeting quality and delivery expectations
    6. Foster a culture of cross-facility inclusion by promoting collaboration, communication and shared identity across locations, ensuring all employees feel connected to and valued within the broader organization.
    7. Manage performance and career development to include taking corrective action if necessary
    8. Maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary in your role
    9. Maintain effective staffing levels and proactively create succession plans, actively participate in recruiting efforts

Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain, business, computer science or other relevant field, or the equivalent amount of training and hands-on experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in warehouse or operations management, supply chain, computer repairs, production or other relevant role including at least 3 years leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
  • Proven track record of implementing and executing continuous improvement projects and leading organizational transformation
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically to contribute toward organizational planning
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
  • Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence
  • Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results
  • Ability to travel nationwide as necessary. 

Technology and Systems:

  • ERP, specifically Infor, Syteline or other workflow processing tools
  • CRM, specifically, HubSpot
  • Data analytics tools, such as Power BI
  • Warehouse management system, such as Factory Track
  • Multi-carrier shipping software, such as Pacejet
  • Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel

    Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands: The incumbent will work with and around a variety of industrial warehouse tools, equipment and vehicles, such as forklifts and packaging machines, in an environment that includes exposure to loud noise levels, vibration, dust, fumes, mechanical hazards, bright lights and hot or cold temperatures. While performing the duties of this position, incumbents may be expected to do any of the following, with or without accommodation:
    • Use tools, machinery, or equipment at their workstation for long periods, up to an entire shift, managing the controls of the tools, machinery or equipment in a safe and effective manner
    • Use computer keyboard, mobile device, desktop computer, laptop, calculator, telephone, walkie talkie, copy machine and other production warehouse tools or controls
    • Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement 
    • Review documents, monitors or displays with potentially small print
    • Follow all safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face shields, hard hats, masks, gloves or other PPE if required safety and effectively 
    • Move through the production warehouse facility on potentially uneven or slippery surface
    • Follow all safety process and respond to safety control noises or alarms such as fire alarm, forklifts horns, and machinery alerts 
    • Reach under, over, above or around workstation, equipment, machinery or other objects such as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing to perform work
    • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and potentially heavier weights with the proper equipment

    The typical workdays and hours for the organization vary depending on the role being performed with potential for extended hours, including weekends or holidays based on business needs. 
    The typical workdays and hours are Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 5:00 pm and vary across facilities or employee work shifts. Employees can work 4 days with 10-hour shift or 5 days with 8-hour shifts. 

    This role is classified as full-time exempt (salaried) and work is expected to be delivered within established deadlines and quality standards without regard to the typical working days or hours noted above.
