Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Petroleum Tank Wagon Driver to join our team. This role requires a professional driver to operate a motor vehicle with a gross weight of 54,000lbs, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of petroleum products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently drives commercial vehicles Monday through Friday and occasional weekends and holidays in all types of weather conditions
- Loads, unloads and moves fuels safely from fuel terminal to customer or company locations in a timely manner
- Follows company policies and federal and state regulations
- Keeps a safe record regarding accidents, driving record, injuries and other actions/events, following all company safety guidelines
- Maintains clean equipment, uniforms and cab space, ensuring any repairs are communicated promptly
- Completes accurate and timely documentation for delivery of product, volume of delivery, and inventory control management
- Appropriately uses internal systems, hand held devices, and other electronic equipment for work purposes
- Takes direction from dispatchers and/or managers, following delivery instructions and maintaining good working relationship
- Communicates with team members, management and customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Stays calm and level headed in stressful situations and refrains from emotional outbursts
- Adopts new methods, procedures and changes in a positive manner
- Offers suggestions to improve efficiencies and solutions to solve problems
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B
- Hazmat and Tanker (X) endorsement or willing to obtain upon hire
- Excellent driving record
- 6-12 months commercial driving experience
- Good customer service, computer, and communication skills
- Able to work rotational on-call nights and weekends
- Must be able to read and write English
