Color Tech

Color Tech I Summary:

The Color Tech I drives safety and quality and is proactive on all 6S methodologies. They will ensure color changing procedures are followed. This position works in the Production Department and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to perform the duties of the Production Associate II.
• Able to maintain the pace of production demands.
• Performs housekeeping.
• Regularly assists side by side bulk packers running.
• Maintains proper cleaning and operates color systems.
• Purging of all presses.
• Manages material shut off and material changeovers.
• Manages the shutdown of all presses.
• Manages the printing of box labels.
• Can print box labels.
• Performs color changes, material changes and label changes.
• Skilled with moving colorant with no scan issues.
• Arranges color in staging area using proper methods.
• Verifies all color weights prior to all movement transactions.
• Uses RF Gun to properly correct, edit, and move colors.
• Uses ERP system to create inventory tags.
• Returns color to proper warehouse locations.
• Responsible for the color inventory management system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education/ Previous Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Detailed oriented.
• Mechanical machine experience.
• Ability to identify defects in finished product.
• Good color acuity.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to learn, grow and adapt to changing business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 25 pounds frequently, 27 pounds occasionally and ability to be actively moving for the majority of any shift.
• Use of Personal protective equipment on the production floor (PPE)
• Physical requirements include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, stooping, crouching, color determination and grasping.
