Position Summary:
This position will provide real-world experience in a distribution environment, specific to responsibilities within the Quality Lab. This position will learn various aspects of the quality function including inspections, blueprint reviews, trouble-shooting quality errors, and assisting with various reports and data entry. This opportunity is specific to candidates who are pursuing either a two-year or a four-year degree in a technical field. The work schedule is flexible and is designed to complement class schedules as needed. This opportunity could lead to ongoing part-time employment during the school year for local candidates.

Location: Rockford, IL
FLSA Hourly/Salary:Â Hourly rate $16
\n- Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement, Core Values, and Fieldamentals.
- Work with our Quality Technicians to assist with Pre-production Part Approval Process (PPAP) inspections.
- Conduct lab testing and product testing on parts.
- Conduct technical research and report writing.
- Respond to emails and requests from the Field team.
- Assist with trouble-shooting quality issues.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects and activities.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- In pursuit of either a two-year or four-year technical degree.
- Polite and professional manner.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Committed to accuracy and dependability.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- The ability to learn new tasks in a short period of time.

- Previous fastener knowledge.
- Experience with blueprints, calipers, micrometers, and gauges in general.
- Experience with AutoCAD
