SupportsĀ needsĀ ofĀ QualityĀ Assurance department whileĀ interfacingĀ withĀ production and receiving/shipping departments to ensure that products are safe,Ā wholesomeĀ and meet quality standards.Ā Ā

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSĀ

Collect and file production paperwork for QA department auditing purposesĀ
Sample finished products to assure compliance with customer specificationsĀ
Sample inbound raw materials in a statistically significant manner.Ā
Conduct metal detector verification checks on production linesĀ
Calibration of thermometersĀ
Record temperatures of outbound loadsĀ
Gather composite samples when necessaryĀ
Prepare samples for shipments to customersĀ
Manage sample submission to outside labsĀ
Cross train w/ lab personnel to perform lab testing duties whenĀ requiredĀ
PerformsĀ self qualityĀ audits within the plantĀ
Supports IMS/Scan4Ship labeling/hold/lot/BOL standards and processesĀ
Other projects as needed by area supervisor and/or manager.Ā

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCEĀ
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.āÆāÆTypical qualifications would be:Ā

High School diploma or GEDĀ required.Ā
Must have the ability to complete required applicable forms in English, which requires the ability to read and write in English.Ā

1+ years of quality and/or lab experience in the food industry is preferred.Ā
