Job DetailsJob Location: GA-MCN Macon Admin Office - MACON, GA 31206Position Type: Full Time RegularSalary Range: $80,000.00 SalaryJob Category: Social ServicesThis position is responsible for: Plans, directs, coordinates, supervises, and monitors the administration of all social service programs within the department including but not limited to grant submission, staff training, crisis intervention counseling, transitional living accommodations, emergency services as well as financial, food, clothing, and furniture assistance; supervises all department staff and ensure work is in compliance with established policies and procedures; develops, implements, and enhances programs to effectively meet the needs of the community; administers the department budget and secures funding for programs; writes grants proposals and ensures program operations are in compliance with contract agreements; serves as leader in the community by performing public speaking and promoting program services.  Key Responsibilities:  Designs and supervises the administration of all social service programs to include emergency shelters, family crisis intervention, transitional living shelters, domestic violence shelters, etc.; develops, implements, and enforces program policies and procedures; evaluates program effectiveness and develops enhancements to improve overall operations and delivery of services.  Administers the FEMA program and all other rent and utility assistance programs; ensures program operations are in compliance with established policies and procedures.  Coordinates and monitors The Salvation Army program purchases.  Develops and administers a volunteer staffing program networked through existing community affiliates.  Provides a single point of communication between the end users and the UNITY team around HRIS issues.  Reviews and monitors monthly statistics representing department services; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.  Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:   Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively. Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time. Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.  Work may be performed in a Shelter or Housing environment.    Employee Benefits:  Paid Time Off  Holiday Pay  Health, Dental, Vision Insurance  Life Insurance  Retirement and more!   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOUEducation and Experience:  Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Services, Human Service, Mental Health or a LCSW, and  Five years progressively responsible experience administering social service programs with at least two years in a supervisory capacity, or  any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Licenses and Certifications:  Valid State Driver’s License  Social Work Certification or License preferred  Equal Opportunity Employer: Veterans | Disabled
