Seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at Navicent, Macon GA. Position offers a magnificent work life balance to be able to enjoy all the beauty that Macon has to offer. Our practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center. This Macon, GA-based facility is recognized for excellence on a national level and is among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States. As the second-largest hospital in Georgia, it has 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics. The facility has a Level I Trauma Center; a children’s hospital built in 2019; 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites; and a stand-alone outpatient facility. The practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) who all work together in a care team model. Our care team model means that we focus on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping to deliver care excellence.

Case Assignments & Schedule
• Schedule: 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer)Â
• Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday).Â
• Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month
• General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
• Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Requirements
• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of MedicineÂ
• Fellowship Trained in Pediatric AnesthesiologyÂ
• ECFMG and FLEXÂ
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesiaÂ
• Currently licensed as a physicianÂ
