Job Summary:Â
The Welder is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and structural components within a brick manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. The Welder must adhere to safety protocols and ensure high-quality workmanship while working both independently and as part of a team.Â
Work Schedule: Â
- Full-time position, 7:30AM to 5:00PM. Â
- May require overtime, weekends, or holiday work based on production needs. Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Welding & Fabrication:Â Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding to repair and fabricate metal components used in the manufacturing process.Â
- Equipment Repair:Â Weld and repair machinery, conveyors, kilns, and other industrial equipment to ensure continuous production.Â
- Blueprint Reading:Â Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to complete welding and fabrication projects accurately.Â
- Material Preparation:Â Cut, grind, and shape metal components prior to welding, ensuring proper fit and alignment.Â
- Safety Compliance:Â Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and fire prevention measures.Â
- Routine Maintenance:Â Inspect welded joints for strength and durability, making necessary adjustments and repairs.Â
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored safely after use.Â
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance and production teams to minimize equipment downtime and maintain efficient operations.Â
Physical Requirements:Â
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Â
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.Â
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments and around heavy machinery.Â
- Dexterity to handle welding tools and equipment with precision.Â
Qualifications:Â
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Â
- Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) preferred but not required.Â
- Experience in industrial welding, preferably in a manufacturing setting.Â
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.Â
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Â
- Ability to pass the required safety training and certifications.Â

This position follows a progressive pay scale, with increases based on performance, knowledge, and experience.Â
