Position Summary: The Counselor is responsible for providing clinical support, counseling services, and case management to individuals undergoing medical detoxification for substance use disorders. This role supports clients through early recovery, ensures safety and compliance with treatment protocols, and collaborates with medical and clinical staff to promote stabilization and engagement in ongoing care.
Essential Functions
路聽 聽 聽 聽Provide individual and group counseling services to clients in a detoxification setting.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Conduct intake assessments, screenings, and psychosocial evaluations
路聽 聽 聽 聽Monitor client behavior, emotional status, and withdrawal-related concerns
路聽 聽 聽 聽Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and clinical team members.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Develop and document individualized treatment plans and progress notes in accordance with regulatory standards.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Educate clients on substance use disorders, coping skills, relapse prevention, and recovery resources.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Assist with discharge planning and referrals to higher or lower levels of care.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing standards, and facility policies.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Respond to crisis situations and provide de-escalation support as needed.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable laws.
路聽 聽 聽 聽Comply with agency policies, ethical standards, and state certification requirements.
Qualifications
路聽 聽 聽 聽Active Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) credential or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (required)
