The community is on its way to becoming a vibrant hub with a walkable town center, Madera County Fire Station and Sheriff substation, school, resort-style community clubhouse/recreation center, and about 400 acres of permanently preserved natural open space, parks, recreational areas, and miles of trails. Tesoro Viejo is conveniently located east of Hwy 41 at Tesoro Viejo Blvd/Avenue 15., just a ten-minute drive from north Fresno and the area’s most desirable dining and shopping including River Park, Villagio and Park Crossing Shopping Centers.    Role Summary The Onsite Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance of buildings and grounds at HOA residential communities, under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.   Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance. Process incoming requests in the system and follow up as needed Ensure completion of work orders using work order system. General maintenance, janitorial and grounds work throughout the Community Associations. Periodic inspections of grounds, common area buildings and structures. Advising supervisor of needed repairs, improvements and safety issues. Understanding of Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Cleaning, Gutters, Locks, Plumbing and Painting This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties. Qualifications 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred Experience with Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Plumbing and Painting required Experience with Cleaning, Locks and Gutters highly desired Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual a plus Must be a proficient problem-solver Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance is a plus, but not necessary Pool maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary Valid driver's license and clean driving record required   Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance. Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely. Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks. Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors). Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
