The Laborer-Maintenance position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of facilities and equipment within various work environments. This role involves performing a wide range of physical tasks that support maintenance teams, including cleaning, repairing, and assisting with installations. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized workplace by addressing maintenance needs promptly and effectively. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong commitment to safety and following established procedures.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States..
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery and production equipment.
  • Experience with electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power, motors and motor controls, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or laborer role.
  • Familiarity with facility maintenance practices and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or related training.
  • Ability to read and interpret simple technical documents or work orders.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and perform preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance on production equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and perform timely repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Monitor production equipment through routine inspections to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and inspection programs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, work orders, and repair documentation.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate replenishment of maintenance supplies.
  • Inspect tools and equipment regularly and request replacements when necessary.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations while performing maintenance activities.
  • Work collaboratively with production supervisors and other departments to minimize downtime and support manufacturing goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
