What You Will Do
As a Union HVAC Apprentice, you will support our commercial installation team on large-scale HVAC projects. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced journeypersons while developing advanced technical skills in a structured union apprenticeship program.
This role includes a company truck and gas card upon successful completion of the 90-day probationary period.
Johnson Controls takes pride in developing apprentices into highly skilled journeypersons and long-term team members.
How You Will Do It
Assist with installation of chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, rooftop units, split systems, piping, and ductwork
Work on commercial and industrial HVAC systems
Follow Johnson Controls safety standards and PPE requirements at all times
Participate in ongoing technical and safety training
Collaborate in teams of 2–6 depending on project size
What We Look For
Required Qualifications:
Active participant in a 5-year Local Union HVAC apprenticeship program (required)
Minimum 1 year of experience working with mechanical or HVAC systems
Basic computer and technology skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
