Job Description:

Ā 

Global Trade Advisory,Ā ConsultantĀ Ā 

The Consultant will support our Global Trade Advisory practice by executing trade compliance audits, conducting data‑driven analyses, and supporting a wide range of customs compliance projects. This role is ideal for someone detail‑oriented, analytically strong, and eager to developĀ expertiseĀ in import operations, tariff application, and compliance risk management. You will help ensure clients meet regulatory requirements,Ā maintainĀ documentation, and strengthen their overall compliance skills.Ā 

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • ConductĀ customs compliance audits, including reviews of entries, documents, and data integrity.Ā 

  • ValidateĀ CBP Form 7501, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading for compliance accuracy.Ā 

  • Extract, reconcile, and analyze data fromĀ ACEĀ reports.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ potential compliance gaps including valuation, FTAs, HTS classification, ADD/CVD, and PGA information.Ā 

  • Support HTS classification exercises and project work for clients.Ā 

  • Prepare complete, defensible audit documentation.Ā 

  • Conduct variance analysis between declared values, dutiable values, and supporting documentation.Ā 

  • AssistĀ in drafting preliminary findings, issue logs, and risk summaries for client deliverables.Ā 

  • Maintain version control, audit trails, and documentation structure that meets regulatory expectations.Ā 

  • Support project teams on compliance assessments, internal control reviews, and process improvement initiatives.Ā 

Required SkillsĀ 

  • Foundational understanding ofĀ Customs Entry, HTS classification concepts, and tariff application.Ā 

  • Strong ExcelĀ proficiencyĀ (pivot tables, V/H-lookups, Power Query, data reconciliation).Ā 

  • High attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.Ā 

  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to question anomalies.Ā 

  • Excellent organizational skills, especially documentation and audit trails.Ā 

  • Ability to manage large datasets andĀ identifyĀ inconsistencies.Ā 

Ā 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • Exposure to import compliance, customs brokerage, ACE reporting, or trade operations.Ā 

  • Understanding of valuation fundamentals (ad valorem, assists, royalties).Ā 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, international trade, economics, or related field.Ā 

  • CCS or LCBĀ Ā

The compensation range for this role is $65,560 to $124,300. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
