Online AP Capstone Teacher (AP Seminar / AP Research)

ABC Education Group has recently launched Polaris Global Academy, an online school serving highly ambitious students from all over the world. We specialize in helping academically strong students who are looking to get ahead, stand out, and achieve big academic goals. We are seeking a part-time AP Seminar and/or AP Research teacher to teach the AP Capstone course(s) for the upcoming school year.

If you're passionate about guiding high school students through independent research, argumentation, and collaborative inquiry — and looking for an opportunity to join a new and growing virtual school — we invite you to apply.

This is a part-time, hourly position that is fully remote and requires no travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Remotely teach AP Seminar and/or AP Research to a small class of students.

  • Deliver 2–3 hours of live instruction each week during the academic year.

  • Guide students through the AP Capstone performance tasks — including the Individual Research-Based Essay and Presentation, Team Multimedia Presentation, and/or the AP Research Academic Paper and Presentation — in line with current College Board requirements.

  • Craft engaging asynchronous learning activities and assignments to help students stay on pace and successfully complete all AP course content and required components.

  • Utilize our LMS, College Board resources, and Zoom to deliver engaging lessons.

  • Deliver instruction using your own proven methods and materials within the confines of the official AP Capstone course guides.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree. Master's degree preferred.

  • Current, up-to-date College Board AP Seminar/AP Research certification (completion of required College Board training).

  • Direct experience teaching AP Seminar and/or AP Research through the College Board's AP Capstone program.

  • Strong working knowledge of College Board scoring rubrics, performance task requirements, and submission processes via the AP Digital Portfolio.

Preferred:

  • Experience teaching AP Seminar and/or AP Research in a virtual/online setting.

Compensation:
competitive rates (commensurate with experience)
