Job Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse by assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring basic health measures, and promoting a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. This position is vital to the delivery of quality patient care and requires compassion, professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence. Essential Functions As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will: Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Take and accurately record vital signs. Monitor and document patient intake and output. Assist with meals, feeding, hydration, and nutrition. Safely transfer, reposition, and transport patients using proper techniques. Assist patients with walking and mobility. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments. Apply comfort measures such as warm or cold compresses as directed. Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests. Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff. Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Keep patient rooms clean, organized, and safe. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. Attend required education, training, and staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned by nursing leadership. Qualifications Current West Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification in good standing. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program. Basic computer skills. Current BLS Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
