The Director, Pediatric Specialty Care Operations (RN) - American Family Children's Hospital is a high-impact leadership role shaping the future of pediatric specialty care through operational excellence, team development, and strategic growth.

We are seeking a – Director, Pediatric Specialty Care Operations (RN) - American Family Children's Hospital to:

  • Provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for pediatric specialty services at American Family Children’s Hospital 
  • Oversees program growth, financial performance, and people management across the pediatric continuum of care 
  • Leads specialized areas including Child Life, Pediatric Trauma & Child Advocacy, Ambulatory Pediatric Specialties, and the Diagnostic & Therapy Center 
  • Drives operational efficiency, margin improvement, and ambulatory redesign initiatives 
  • Leads and develops leaders (4 direct reports) with a strong focus on people management and change leadership 
  • Partners closely with medical faculty and system stakeholders to ensure high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Administration, or related field Preferred

 

Work Experience

  • 5 years relevant leadership experience Required
  • 5 years relevant leadership experience in pediatrics Preferred
  • Experience in a large academic or complex healthcare system, including Level 1 Trauma Center services and pediatric surgical patients Preferred

 

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
