Your Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and enthusiastic entry level Environmental Technician with a keen interest in the natural sciences to join our Wisconsin team out of our Madison office. We are seeking a passionate individual with strong natural resource background ready to assist our project teams with wetland delineations, natural resource permitting, wildlife surveys, plant surveys, ecosystem restoration, erosion control and construction oversight and other opportunities as needed. The candidate will work closely with project managers, staff scientists and senior scientists to support delivery of environmental studies for projects involving electric transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, wind and solar electric generation facilities, wetland and stream restorations and other projects for private, municipal, state, and federal clients. This is a full-time (40+-hour work week) position. Stantec will be responsible for training and travel expenses. This position will initially include working in Wisconsin and various locations throughout the Midwest, with future opportunities to work with other Stantec staff around the United States. Â
Your Key Responsibilities

- Wetland and stream delineation and assessments,
- Vegetation inventories,
- Wildlife surveys and habitat assessments,
- Aquatic assessments (lake and stream),
- Background environmental data reviews,
- Environmental permit applications,
- Endangered resource record reviews,
- Environmental construction monitoring,
- GPS data collection and mapping support,
- ArcGIS online mapping and data collection applications,
- Data collection and analysis, and
- Preparation of written reports, tables, spreadsheets, databases, and maps for client and regulatory agency review.
