Job DetailsJob Location: Main Hospital Campus Headquarters - Madison, WV 25130Position Type: Full TimeJoin Our Team Boone Memorial Health is looking for a dependable and team-oriented Food Service Technician to join our Dietary Services team. In this role, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals to our patients, residents, visitors, and staff while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, take pride in preparing quality food, and are passionate about providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do Prepare and serve hot and cold food items following standardized recipes, therapeutic diets, and portion guidelines. Review menus and assist with meal preparation to ensure patients receive meals that meet their dietary needs. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following HACCP, infection prevention, and departmental procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work area. Receive, stock, and rotate food and supplies while assisting with inventory and food orders. Assist with cafeteria operations, including operating the cash register and providing friendly customer service. Complete daily cleaning and sanitation responsibilities. Work collaboratively with fellow team members and other departments to provide an excellent dining experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Active Food Handler's Card or the ability to obtain one within the required timeframe. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong customer service and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math and computer skills. Preferred Two (2) years of experience in quantity food preparation, healthcare food service, restaurant, cafeteria, or institutional food service. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practices. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
