Global Customs & Trade Advisory,Ā SeniorĀ ConsultantĀ Ā 

The Senior Consultant plays a key role in reviewing compliance work,Ā identifyingĀ risks, and supporting the delivery of complex customs compliance projects. You will oversee staff outputs,Ā validateĀ audit findings, draft technical language, and help shape compliance recommendations for clients. This role supports managers on risk evaluation, technical interpretations, and ensuring that client compliance programs are defensible, well‑documented, and aligned with regulatory expectations.Ā

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Review compliance work prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy and defensibility.Ā 

  • Lead portions ofĀ customs compliance audits, including risk identification and issue assessment.Ā 

  • Validate data reconciliations, anomalies, and import compliance findings.Ā 

  • EnsureĀ accurateĀ statute of limitations trackingĀ and deadline management for audits and corrections.Ā 

  • Draft technical language for CF28/CF29 responses, compliance position statements, and audit narratives.Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ gaps in documentation, classification, valuation, or tariff application.Ā 

  • Coordinate workflow across multiple audit or compliance review projects.Ā 

  • Prepare structuredĀ findingsĀ summaries and support managers in presenting results to clients.Ā 

  • Maintain high documentation standards, version control, and organized audit workpapers.Ā 

  • Support the development of client compliance programs, internal controls, and process improvements.Ā 

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to consultants and analysts.Ā 

Ā 

Required SkillsĀ 

  • Strong working knowledge of customs regulations, tariff frameworks, and compliance requirements.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ identifyĀ and explain compliance risks clearly and logically.Ā 

  • High accuracy in reviewing technical work.Ā 

  • Strong analytical skills.Ā 

  • Ability to draft clear, technically sound compliance narratives or responses.Ā 

  • ProficiencyĀ with Excel and large‑dataset analysis.Ā 

  • Strong communicationĀ skills—both written and verbal.Ā 

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.Ā 

Ā 

Preferred QualificationsĀ 

  • 2–4+ years in customs compliance, trade advisory, brokerage, or importing roles.Ā 

  • Experience with CBP audits, focused assessments, internal audits, or compliance reviews.Ā 

  • Familiarity with valuation risks (assists, royalties, transfer pricing interactions, First Sale).Ā 

  • Experience responding to CBP inquiries (CF28, CF29) or conducting classification/valuation reviews.Ā 

  • LCB or CCS preferredĀ

The compensation range for this role is $86,660 to $164,300. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
