Journeyman Diesel Mechanic - 1st Shift

We are looking for Techs and Mechanics at the Granite city location. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform general inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a fleet of 250 trucks 
• Perform work on Peterbilt trucks,  diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and auxiliary power units (APUs) 
• Review repair work orders and discuss work with supervisors 
• Communicate with managers or drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems 
• Work in a safe and professional manner 
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must have own tools 
• At least 5 years mechanic experience required 
• High school diploma or GED required; technical education highly desired. 
• Cummins engine diagnostic experience
• Heavy electrical diagnostic and repair experience
• ASE Certification preferred but not required  
• Valid driver’s license 
• Must pass drug screening 
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting excess of 80 lbs, bending, climbing and standing for duration of a work shift)
