SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for working with livestock which includes but is not limited to; Driving sorting weighing tattooing marking and penning of livestock while keeping accurate inventories and head counts; Operating the hot-scale and Bio Q; performing light building maintenance and showcase duties when not working with the livestock. This position requires moving hogs safely and effectively with minimum stress to the hog; must follow all humane handling guidelines as per policy; perform any other duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety.

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 

Preferred Experience: Prior experience working with and handling livestock in loading and unloading operations as well as experience with skid loaders and forklift operation. Basic experience with livestock handling in a procurement area of the meat industry is preferred. Prior knowledge and experience with humane animal handling procedures process and general policy in the area of procurement is preferred. 

Computer Skills: Basic computer knowledge is preferred. 

Communication Skills: Good communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate with all levels of team members and government officials. 

Special Skills: Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment. 

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 70 pounds or more unassisted and stand for extended periods of time 8 to 10 hours excluding beak time.

Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

(Cannot have suspension in the last 12 months)
