 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist – Advanced Imaging Focus

Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations, including cardiac, breast, prostate, vascular, and general MRI studies.
- Demonstrate experience with cardiac MRI protocols, including cardiac anatomy, function, morphology, viability, and other advanced cardiac imaging techniques.
- Perform breast MRI examinations, including appropriate positioning, imaging protocols, contrast-enhanced studies, and post-processing as required.
- Perform prostate MRI examinations, including multiparametric prostate MRI protocols and appropriate image acquisition.
- Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining examinations and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administer or assist with IV contrast in accordance with hospital policy and scope of practice.
- Operate MRI equipment and optimize scanning parameters to achieve high-quality diagnostic images.
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure appropriate imaging protocols and quality.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cardiac, breast, and prostate MRI protocols as these services continue to grow.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records.
- Follow all MRI safety policies, screening procedures, infection-control practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing education and remain current with advancements in MRI technology and advanced imaging techniques.
Position Focus
The ideal candidate will bring strong general MRI experience along with specialized knowledge in cardiac, breast, and prostate MRI. This position will play an important role in expanding advanced MRI services and ensuring that patients receive high-quality diagnostic imaging close to home.

Requirements
 Skills and Qualifications
- ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT-MR) or equivalent certification required/preferred based on hospital requirements.
- Current BLS certification.
- Previous MRI experience required.
- Experience with cardiac MRI strongly preferred.
- Experience with breast MRI and prostate MRI strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced MRI protocols, anatomy, contrast administration, and image optimization.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety standards and screening requirements.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, cardiologists, nursing, and other clinical staff.
- Ability and willingness to assist with the development and expansion of advanced MRI services and protocols.
