Work Schedule:

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Hours will be primarily Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. No weekend rotation is required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking a Music Therapist to:

Perform assessments of patients and families to identify needs in order to set short and/or long-term goals
Utilize knowledge of pediatric growth and development to guide interactions across age and developmental levels
Provide music therapy interventions that are goal-oriented, support evidence-based practice, and are patient and family focused
Evaluate effectiveness of interventions and modify care based on results
Work closely with patient, family, and health care team in order to develop and implement a patient-specific treatment plan
Communicate relevant patient care information and work as an integrative member of a patient’s health care team to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy, Music, or a related field and/or completion of the degree equivalency program in Music Therapy as required by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) Required
Master's Degree in Music Therapy Preferred

Work Experience

3 months working or volunteering with children Required
6 months working with children in a healthcare/hospital setting Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

MT-BC (Music Therapist – Board Certified) Upon Hire Required
