100%, day shift working Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. You will work at UnityPoint Health Meriter – West Washington Clinic and McKee Clinic in Madison, WI.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide care primarily to patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and/or general endocrine disorder.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient (85%) and inpatient setting (15%).
  • Participate in the daily functions of the Diabetes Management Service.
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients/families with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.

Education:
Minimum –

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:

  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Emergency; Family.

If Physician Assistant*:

  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: 

  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
  • Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
