Job DetailsJob Location: Main Hospital Campus Headquarters - Madison, WV 25130Position Type: Full TimeJoin Our Team Boone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. As an ED Nurse, you'll provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies while working alongside an experienced team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and healthcare professionals. What You'll Do Assess, triage, and provide nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and IV therapy, and respond quickly to changes in patient status. Assist with emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, and life-saving interventions. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic health record. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient care environment while following all regulatory and organizational standards. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic emergency setting. Qualifications   Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current, unrestricted West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Emergency Department nursing experience. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification. Certification Requirements The following certifications are required if not currently held: ACLS within six (6) months of hire. PALS within six (6) months of hire. TNCC within one (1) year of hire. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics.
