The Position: 

We're looking for someone to work as a Scale Operator/Dispatcher to organize customer orders and dispatch trucks for aggregate sales as it pertains to various aggregate sites.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Take aggregate orders and handle customer inquiries regarding products for various sites

  • Answer phones and route calls in support of commercial aggregate sales and operations

  • Generate and communicate sales orders as needed to scale personnel and finance department

  • Reconcile, correct, and upload aggregate tickets for commercial aggregate sites

  • Generate, communicate, and route pricing as needed to customers

  • Weigh and ticket incoming and outgoing truck loads

  • Print tickets and handle customer issues during sale process

  • Perform general clerical duties or other record keeping as required

  • Provide administrative support to the Site Managers and quarry staff

  • Handle cash transactions and process cash deposit slips.

  • Administer site-specific training or information as needed

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

  • Willingness and ability to work every other Saturday

Requirements: 

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to multi-task required

  • Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments when scaling

  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record

  • Strong computer skills, especially with Office programs, and the ability to learn proprietary systems as well

  • Prior experience working with dispatching or scales (preferred)

  • Prior experience working in customer service and cash-handling roles (preferred)

  • Must be self-directed and motivated (preferred)
