100% FTE, Evening/Night shift. Hours are from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am Monday through Friday with an on-call weekend rotation schedule. You will work at the East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Security Supervisor to:

  • Supervise, assign and evaluate the activities of shift personnel, ensuring adherence to department and UW Health policies and procedures.
  • Plan daily assignments and conduct daily briefings for security operations.
  • Assess shift personnel and equipment needs.
  • Assist with shift operations as needed.
  • Cover as supervisor at University Hospital as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in related field Preferred or
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years relevant work-related experience Required
  • 5 years hospital security/supervision experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License Required and
  • Completion of IAHSS Supervisor Certification within 6 months Required
  • Must be 21 years of age to drive UW Health Fleet vehicle and must be 25 years of age to drive a UW Health vehicle rated for 15 or more passengers.
  • Ability to be insured by Hospital’s risk management insurer which requires
    • a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and
    • successfully passing a driving background check
