Job Summary:

 

As a caregiver, you will provide direct support to our residents by promoting personal growth, independence in their homes and community, and assisting with activities of daily living.


Essential Functions:

 

  • Maintain healthy and professional boundaries with residents and staff.
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Personal care and appearance (e.g., bathing, toileting, transferring, dressing, and exercising) – as needed.
  • Passing medications accurately
  • Maintain a clean and orderly home environment (e.g., assisting with laundry, trash, and household cleaning).
  • Provide problem-solving assistance and companionship.
  • Accompany the resident into the community to engage in recreational activities and doctor appointments.
  • Maintain records and documentation in the home.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work independently and remain organized and efficient.
  • Participate in job-related trainings, house meetings, and supervisory meetings as scheduled
  • Assist residents to develop and expand participation in community activities and build relationships with family, friends, and neighbors.
  • Comply with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential consumer information.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  1. Health promotion and maintenance
  2. Create a safe work environment
  3. Listening, analyzing information, and focusing on quality
  4. Physical ability to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 50 lbs. while avoiding potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents


Requirements:

 

  1. Must be able to satisfy the post-offer requirements (i.e., Wisconsin Caregiver Background, medical screenings, and pre-employment drug screening)
  2. Must be able to work weekends (every other Saturday and Sunday is required)
