Department Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday — No weekends or holidays Expected Schedule: Specific days and scheduling options are negotiable and may even include some week-to-week flexibility. About the Position Wildwood Family Clinic is looking for a friendly, dependable, and patient-focused Patient Customer Service Representative to be one of the first points of contact for our patients. We will provide training to help you learn our clinic, processes, and resources. As you gain experience, you'll build your knowledge and become a valuable resource for our patients. This is an in-person position with your own dedicated workspace in our Madison office, working alongside our Patient Account Specialists and Coding teams. Responsibilities Answer incoming patient calls and questions. Return patient voicemails and Epic electronic messages promptly and professionally. Help patients find answers and complete follow-up as needed. Clearly document patient interactions and actions taken in the patient's Epic account. Learn and navigate insurance websites and clinic resources. Provide friendly, professional customer service to patients and coworkers. Assist Patient Account Specialists with other tasks during slower periods or downtime.   Opportunity to Grow If you enjoy the work and are interested in taking on more, this position has the potential to grow into a full-time Patient Account Specialist role. Working alongside our Patient Account Specialists will provide an opportunity to observe additional responsibilities such as payment posting, self-pay collections, accounts receivable and claim reconciliation. QualificationsQualifications High School Diploma/GED required Excellent customer service, communication, listening, and documentation skills. Comfortable talking on the phone and making outgoing calls. Willing to ask questions and take direction with a positive attitude toward new skills and responsibilities. Comfortable navigating computers, email, websites, Microsoft Office programs, and common office equipment, with the ability to learn new technology as needed. Ability to work as part of a team. Epic experience preferred but not required. Basic understanding of healthcare insurance payers, policies, claims, billing, and processing strongly encouraged.
