SUMMARY

The Connections Associate is responsible for casting the vision, strategically planning and daily implementing the activities and atmosphere of the Connections ministry at Pinelake’s Madison Campus. The role is also responsible for developing, implementing and sustaining processes and systems for continued connecting, developing and multiplying of leaders and teams as well as implementing the One Church vision of connecting the Madison community to their next step.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop plan for creating and implementing welcoming environment for all attendees of Pinelake’s Madison Campus.
  • Develop an effective leader recruitment strategy that is reproducible and sufficient for meeting the goals of the ministry.
  • Build and lead a team that consists of servant leaders who champion the vision and mission of Pinelake Church.
  • Cast Pinelake’s Vision and Mission for the discipleship pathway amongst our Connections Teams regularly.
  • Utilize ROCK (church management system) as the main communication among leaders, members, and pastors. Equip the entire ministry in the same way.
  • Work with other ministry teams to recruit and provide follow up for prospective team members.
  • Collect, share, and celebrate stories that reflect how God is working through our ministry in staff meetings, elder reports, etc.
  • Prepare and manage budget for areas of responsibility.
  • Pursue intentional leadership growth within Connections Ministry through consistent cross-campus collaboration, professional development, networking, conferences, and ongoing learning.
  • Assist other ministers in the successful completion of regular worship services and special events, specifically in the Discipleship Pathway: Essentials, Jesus-Centered Life, etc., and other needs as requested (ex. hosting, baptisms, hospital visits, etc.).
  • Perform administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports and completing purchasing orders, as required by management and as specified by church policy.
  • Attend at least one regular weekly worship service and is present on the church campus during all other regular weekly worship services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and coordinates work with servant-leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree minimum; and two to four years of ministry related experience and/or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The individual must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public and church members and regular attendees. The individual must have the ability to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret complex documents, instructions manuals, policies and procedures is essential.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of Mac/Windows OS systems to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must have basic mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting, and budget and expense monitoring. The individual must have the ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.

REASONING ABILITY

Simultaneous conceptualization and planning of multiple tasks, ability to project outcomes using different implementation strategies and ability to apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.
