Description

Summary/Objective:
This person will work as branch support to help control parts inventory levels, watch for incoming purchase orders, and maintain the status of necessary items to complete upcoming jobs. This position requires reliability and open communication with the branch team.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Sort and organize incoming parts orders from vendors or as they come off technician trucks.
  • Keep track of incoming orders; providing updates to Parts Manager when asked.
  • Controlling parts inventory to correct level to ensure minimum out-of-stocks on key service replacement parts.
  • Supply all purchase order paperwork to management.
  • Verify receipt of all ordered items with management.
  • Deliver parts as needed to remote techs and/or remote warehouse (driving company vehicle, DOT driver file completion required)
  • Assist with quarterly physical inventory counts.
  • Coordinate all product returns.
  • Attend all internal pre-con meetings to discuss projects needs as they relate to parts, equipment, and materials requirement, as well as required delivery schedules.
  • Notify installation/service/electrical manager of proposed delivery dates and any specific handling requirements.
  • Work with office manager or service manager to assist with invoicing customers for parts, equipment and installation projects.
  • Assist with customers and internal salesman as to parts and equipment applications and provide information resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Two years of previous experience in a warehouse parts setting preferred.

· Ability to communicate verbally with leadership and branch team members.

· Basic computer skills.

· Multitasking and task prioritization skills are a must.

· Excellent interpersonal skills required.

· Clean driving record and clean safety record required.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment which can be hot, cold, dusty, and/or loud.


Physical Demands:
This role is primarily physical in nature with occasional sedentary tasks. Successful candidates should be able to lift 40 pounds, walk across the warehouse without stopping, operate a forklift safely to move parts and inventory, and be able to stand for an extended period of time.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position.


Travel:
Travel may involve day trips for deliveries, returning the same day, driving a company vehicle. There could be occasional exceptions.
