About the Role
We’re seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Technician II to support day‑to‑day facility operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong initiative, basic mechanical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment.
What You’ll Do
- Perform repairs and maintenance based on work orders or verbal instructions, ensuring accurate documentation
- Identify, request, and use parts and materials needed to complete maintenance tasks
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives for equipment repair or replacement
- Assist with water and fire system shut‑offs and connections
- Complete basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs (e.g., lighting, ballasts, fixtures)
- Perform carpentry and minor construction work, including drywall, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, shelving, painting, and tile
- Support general facility upkeep, including debris removal, material handling, and maintaining a safe work environment
- Work safely at all times and perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable working with contractors and vendors
- Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 25 lbs)
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, crawl, kneel, and squat as needed
- Visual and auditory ability to safely perform maintenance tasks and respond to alarms
- Rare driving may be required

Job Summary:
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance related to the facilities, equipment and associated systems. including, but not limited to: fire systems, tube system, equipment repair, nurse call, infant abduction system, life safety components, paging system, Med Gas systems, paging systems, locks and door repair.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and compiles proper documentation following established policies and procedures. Identifies and requests parts and components needed to complete tasks.
- Works with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives in regards to the repair and replacement of equipment. Assists contractors and other personnel with connections and shut-offs for water and fire systems.
- Performs basic plumbing and electrical repairs and appliance repairs including, but not limited to: changing light bulbs, replacing ballasts and installation of light fixtures.
- Performs carpentry and minor construction projects including, but not limited to installation and or repair of drywall, walls, flooring, ceramic tile cabinetry, countertops, shelving, painting.Â
- Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment including, but not limited to: debris/trash removal, heavy lifting/moving of materials and equipment, floor-sweeping and material storage.
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Two years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Rare use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Rare driving.
