Job Summary | The Mortgage Loan Officer is the first person most customers seeking a mortgage have contact with in the process. This position's primary responsibility is to develop new business, complete application and documentation process, structure each loan, and maintain and service existing portfolios. |

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: | - Originates mortgage loans in surrounding area
| - Develops referral relationships with realtors, developers, builders, and potential customers to promote the bank's loans and develop business
| - Assesses needs and advises customers and potential clients on financial solutions
| - Interviews applicants, collects data on earnings/income or other financials, and assesses loan risks
| - Develops and structures each loan to best fit customer needs; conducts preliminary underwriting review and submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for final approval
| - Follows loan status, maintains communications with customers and realtors, and ensures that documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner
| - Monitors existing real estate loan portfolio to ensure proper risk ratings and early identification of potential issues
| - Assists delinquent customers to become current and stay current with alternatives to foreclosure
| - Maintains on-going customer contact, quality customer service, and superior product knowledge
| - Stays abreast of Freddie Mac policies and procedures to ensure proper application and document collection requirements
| - Maintains compliance and regulation in all loan documentation and processing
