JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
JOB DUTIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct training mission objectives on the UTTR (Utah Test and Training Range) using applicable systems for each mission
- Set up, operate, and monitor communications networks, LINK terminals, and radar displays to ensure mission success
- Provide positive control of assets during assigned missions, ensuring safety and training objectives are met
- Maintain detailed understanding of current USAF systems, capabilities and doctrines in the air-to-air, air refueling and air-to-ground missions, following all applicable Air Force instructions
- Interface directly with the UTTR supervisor and customer to ensure training objectives are met with the scheduled systems
- Provide interface directly with project director and customer to ensure test objectives are met with the scheduled systems and flights
- Aid with scheduling and administrative requirements
- Obey and relay all safety directives and instructions issued by UTTR Air Traffic Controllers
- Perform related work as required
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to possess and maintain a current FAA Class 2 flight physical and be able to pass an annual job skills evaluation per AFI requirements
- Must be familiar with testing procedures and experienced in directing the use of test assets and personnel to fulfill mission goals in an ambitious testing environment
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be experienced in the use of computer terminals
- Must be able to work duty days more than eight hours, shift work, overnight stays, and weekend work to meet required schedule demands
- Must have working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications
- Will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license
