We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee multiple commercial electrical projects throughout the Houston area. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring jobs remain on schedule, crews stay productive, materials are available when needed, and quality standards are maintained across all projects. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively manage field personnel, communicate with office staff, and drive projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit and oversee multiple job sites daily to ensure projects are progressing safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
  • Supervise foremen, electricians, and apprentices while maintaining accountability and productivity across all crews.
  • Monitor manpower needs and coordinate staffing requirements with the office.
  • Assist with workforce planning and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage on all projects.
  • Order and track materials, equipment, and tools required for ongoing and upcoming work.
  • Conduct regular job site inspections to verify quality, workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedules or project budgets.
  • Review project progress and communicate updates to management and project teams.
  • Attend weekly operations and project meetings to provide job status updates, manpower forecasts, material needs, and project concerns.
  • Ensure crews follow company policies, safety regulations, and customer expectations.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Support field personnel by providing leadership, direction, training, and problem-solving assistance.


Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Previous experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or Senior Foreman overseeing multiple projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with manpower planning, material procurement, and project coordination.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate crews and hold team members accountable.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with smartphones, tablets, email, and basic construction management software.
