Position Overview
Prismecs is seeking a full-time Gas Turbine Engineer based in Houston, TX with strong experience in gas turbine systems and a proven background in engineering team leadership.
This role is critical to strengthening our U.S. engineering operations and supporting our expanding power generation portfolio across EPC, O&M, and long-term service agreements.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise combined with the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface directly with clients and senior leadership.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership on gas turbine–based power generation projects
Support engineering design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization
Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple projects
Coordinate with project management, commercial, and field teams
Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and calculations
Support proposal development and technical bid evaluations
Interface with OEMs, vendors, and clients for technical alignment
Ensure compliance with U.S. codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations
Support site visits, audits, and performance assessments when required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
7+ years of experience in gas turbine engineering
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams
Strong understanding of power generation systems
Experience working with aeroderivative and/or heavy-duty gas turbines
Knowledge of balance of plant systems
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Ability to work full-time in Houston, TX
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting EPC or long-term O&M projects
Experience with OEM platforms (GE, Siemens, etc.)
PE license (preferred but not required)
Experience supporting multi-MW utility-scale or industrial plants
