Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates maintenance personnel responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment, facilities, and utilities. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, manages maintenance resources and budgets, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards. The position is responsible for employee development, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement cost-effective maintenance practices and manage vendor relationships to achieve departmental objectives.
- Maximize equipment reliability and uptime through effective planning and execution of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate effectively with department supervisors and team leads to build strong working relationships.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain documentation for spare and replacement parts.
- Ensures a well-trained and motivated workforce through team building and education.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations through staying up to date on regulation changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through effective leadership and development of maintenance personnel
- Manages and controls the preventative maintenance program on the Facility and manufacturing equipment.
- Contributes to the Company current and long-range budgetary equipment rehabilitation programs consistent with Company objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring the duties of the Maintenance department are performed in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
- Develop and implement programs to ensure safety within the Maintenance group. Develop and implement programs to ensure Service Quality and equipment reliability. Coordinate the acquisition, transfer/delivery, retirement and disposal of equipment.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of SAP maintenance data and support effective use of maintenance management systems.
- Supervises others either directly or through subordinates.
- Coordinates diverse activities within a functional area.
- Plans work and administers policies.
- Accept responsibility for all activities in the department.
- Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities or directly impacts a revenue center's viability or its quality of service via personal contributions.
Manage maintenance contractors and service providers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Two to three year technical diploma/vocational certificate along with additional certification/license.
- Minimum 5 years related experience in maintenance within an industrial manufacturing facility.
- Technical certification, journeyman license, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, welding, plumbing, or related trades preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in leading others within a group or individual tasks.
- Must have strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP desired.
- Must be able to utilize Order Processing Systems, Payroll Time Reporting & Payroll Systems.
- Solid knowledge of technical processes and safety procedures.
- Must have good communication skills to interact with all levels of employees and management.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Physical Requirements
Industrial environment. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity. Work is performed in both office and industrial manufacturing environments. Regular exposure to moving machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and industrial hazards. Must be available for emergency call-outs and support during off-hours as needed.
