 About the Role 

This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily production operations across departments to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in alignment with Flowchem’s production schedules and quality standards. The Production Manager supervises production teams, coordinates scheduling and resource planning, monitors equipment performance, and leads efforts to meet production targets in alignment with customer expectations and business goals. 

 Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Leads all production operations, ensuring that production goals, safety protocols, and quality standards are consistently met or exceeded. 
  • Develops, reviews, and adjusts production schedules to align with customer demand, resource availability, and equipment readiness. 
  • Coordinates with supervisors, maintenance, supply chain, and quality teams to monitor work progress, resolve production delays, and support operational readiness. 
  • Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), identifies areas for improvement, and implements corrective actions to drive operational efficiency. 
  • Oversees inventory management for raw materials and finished products, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and inventory levels to meet production needs. 
  • Ensures team compliance with all EH&S standards, conducts safety audits, and fosters a proactive safety culture across the production workforce. 
  • Manages, trains, and evaluates production staff, promoting continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and development of personnel. 

 Qualifications 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field is preferred with extensive production leadership experience. 

Experience 

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in oil, gas, or industrial processing. 
  • Prior experience in supervisory or management roles, with demonstrated success in leading production teams and managing cross-departmental coordination. 
  • Strong knowledge of production workflows, manufacturing equipment, materials planning, and quality control standards. 
  • Proficient in production reporting systems, scheduling software, and performance tracking tools. 

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations 

  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification required. 
  • Forklift Certification preferred or must be obtained within 30 days. 
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus. 
  • Completion of leadership or supervisory training programs preferred.

  • Committed to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a high-risk industrial environment. 

Physical Requirements 

The Production Manager must be able to walk the plant floor regularly, stand for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires the ability to climb ladders and access confined spaces when necessary. The position involves regular use of hands, arms, and visual focus for evaluating equipment and reviewing production materials. Occasional travel may be required to support operational meetings or vendor visits.  

 Work Conditions 

The work environment for this position includes both office settings and production areas. The manager must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, exposed to seasonal weather conditions including heat over 100°F and occasional cold weather. The role involves routine exposure to industrial chemicals, odors, fumes, and noise. Confined space entry and work at elevated heights may be required. All tasks are performed with proper PPE as required by Flowchem safety standards.
